Reimagining Education. Rebuilding Confidence. Restoring Futures.
At Radcliffe FC Alternative Provision, we don't focus on what's gone wrong — we focus on what's still possible. Every learner has a future worth fighting for. With the right support, they can imagine it — and achieve it.
We believe every young person deserves a second chance, a safe place to grow, and a real opportunity to thrive.
Our skilled and compassionate staff listen, understand, and guide learners with a clear focus on future success, reintegration, and long-term pathways.
Studying in a calm, safe, and nurturing environment, learners are rewarded with accreditations tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
Get in touchSupporting Transitions & Building Foundations
At our alternative provision, we understand that transitional periods - such as moving between key stages, schools, or returning to mainstream education - can be particularly challenging for Key Stage 2 pupils. These moments often bring emotional, social, and academic pressures that require targeted support and a nurturing environment.
Our approach is rooted in creating a safe, structured, and responsive setting where each child's individual needs are recognised and met. We place a strong emphasis on personal and social development, helping pupils build resilience, self-esteem, and positive relationships. Through tailored interventions, therapeutic support, and a consistent pastoral framework, we empower pupils to navigate change with confidence and develop the skills needed for long-term success both in and out of the classroom. Our provision acts as a bridge, enabling smoother transitions while fostering growth, stability, and a renewed engagement in learning.
Early Intervention & Reintegration Focus
Key Stage 3 learners are often at a critical turning point. Our focus here is on preventing permanent exclusion (PEX), supporting reintegration into school or specialist settings, and developing the social and emotional skills that lay the foundation for future success.
Our KS3 programme includes:
Preparing for the Future
Key Stage 4 learners work with us to explore careers, work experience, and their next steps after Year 11. We focus on readiness for the world of work, practical learning, and ensuring each young person leaves us with qualifications and direction.
Our KS4 programme includes:
A core part of our curriculum for both KS3 and KS4, PSD helps learners grow in confidence and self-worth. We encourage positive decision-making to help build life skills and independence. Learners will develop social communication skills, alongside building up resilience and developing tools for emotional regulation
Our early interventions are designed to reduce exclusions and prevent crises by supporting pupils proactively. We do this by fostering positive relationships through mentoring and therapeutic support, creating behaviour support plans that provide structure and clarity, and addressing social, emotional and mental health needs such as trauma and anxiety, while encouraging constructive conflict resolution through restorative conversations.
Every learner has an individual plan that includes one-to-one and small group learning, core academic skills (e.g. English and maths), creative and vocational options, and therapeutic and enrichment activities.
We help learners explore and prepare for real-world pathways by providing them with the environment to succeed.
We support learners in gaining qualifications that reflect their interests, needs, and potential, including Functional Skills such as English, maths, and ICT, PSD and life skills accreditations, and vocational or entry-level qualifications. Learners can also earn in-house and externally moderated certificates that recognise their achievements and progress.
Our learners leave with renewed confidence and emotional wellbeing. By attaining recognised qualifications and accreditations, learners are re-engaged and have improved attendance. We give them real-world experiences and career insights so that they leave with clear, achievable next steps into education, employment, or training.
